PFX™ Hybrid Panels with HT wire cut panel replacements from weekly to monthly with noticeably better panel quality.

An aggregate operation was experiencing frequent failures with its existing modular screen panels. Wire breakage and wire separation forced the team to replace panels regularly, increasing maintenance needs and creating unnecessary downtime.
The operation was also concerned about throughput. One existing panel design incorporated multiple urethane cross sections that restricted wire movement and reduced the available open area. The goal was to find a more durable panel that could withstand the application while maintaining optimal screening performance and throughput.

Buffalo recommended PFX™ Hybrid Pre-Tension Panels with HT wire to provide additional durability while improving screen performance.
The Buffalo design incorporated HT wire for increased wear resistance and reduced the number of urethane cross sections compared with the previous panel design. This kept more of the screening surface active while maintaining the structural support required for the application.
When the operation needed a large quantity of replacement panels quickly, Buffalo also adjusted its production schedule to help meet the customer’s immediate requirements.

Since installing the Buffalo hybrid panels, the operation has not experienced premature breakage or uneven wear.
The improved durability has reduced downtime and significantly extended the interval between panel replacements. Instead of replacing panels about once a week, the operation now replaces them about once a month.
The customer has also reported noticeably better panel quality and plans to continue reordering based on performance.
