Keeping Screen Openings Clean: How a Custom PFX™ Solution Eliminated Production Interruptions

01. The Challenge

The customer was using a combination of PFX™ screens, competitor panels, and rubber bolt-down panels on the scalping deck. Crusher fines repeatedly blinded the screen openings, restricting material flow and reducing throughput. The operation was forced to stop the screener to clean the screen before production could continue manually.

02. The Solution

Buffalo's TechSquad® partnered with engineering to develop a custom PFX™ screen solution for the application. The project included designing a custom screen, building the required tooling, and manufacturing the finished product. The engineered PFX™ design allows the screen openings to flex during operation, helping prevent blinding and maintain material flow.

03. The Result

The custom PFX™ M configuration delivered immediate improvements in screen performance and plant operation.
