Improved Material Separation with Buffalo PFX™ Hybrid Panels

01. The Challenge

The customer was using the competitor's urethane panels but wasn't achieving the material separation they needed. Limited open area prevented the screen from producing a clean cut, reducing the quality of material reporting to the stockpile.

The operation needed a screening solution that would improve efficiency while maintaining product quality and minimizing the risk of contamination.

02. The Solution

Buffalo recommended installing PFX™ Hybrid Panels using 3/4-inch PFX™ M (B204424) on the rail loadout screen as an initial trial. The goal was to increase open area while confirming the panels could consistently produce the desired material separation without contaminating the finished product.

Following the successful trial, the customer began expanding the use of PFX™ Hybrid Panels into additional screening applications and continues to evaluate other opening sizes to optimize plant performance further.

03. The Result

The trial exceeded expectations, delivering immediate improvements in screening performance and material separation.

  • Improved material separation and a cleaner product
  • Increased open area for more efficient screening
  • Successful implementation beyond the initial trial location
  • Continued expansion of PFX™ Hybrid Panels throughout the operation
