The Chromium Overlay Plate is intended for extreme abrasion, corrosion, and impact applications. The chromium carbide wear surface is a ceramic compound welded to a mild steel substrate. This provides a very resistant surface that will not separate. The primary purpose of the overlay is to protect the surface it is welded to from damaging wear and tear.
