Operations Manager:

Responsible for planning, directing and running daily production operations in a safe productive manner to ensure that customer expectations are met.

Overview:

Responsible for managing the daily plant operations of production to ensure that all safety and policies/procedures are followed. Maintain and develop processes that will improve safety, quality and plant productivity.

  • Promote and maintain a clean and safe facility.
  • Review and enforce all company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, performance, attendance and discipline.
  • Responsible for managing the flow of production through departments to ensure on-time delivery, meeting efficiency and quality standards.
  • Oversee all production departments.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure coordination of production, purchasing and shipping.
  • Prepare, analyze and issue production and performance reports.
  • Perform shift change reviews and ensure that information is promptly and effectively transferred and shared between shifts and departments.
  • Manage and mentor supervisors to enhance their abilities.
  • Ensure appropriate training of all staff to meet competencies necessary to execute their roles effectively and efficiently.
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
  • Establish and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Ensure shop floor orderliness, housekeeping and appearance.
  • Coordinate with and assist Quality Department to ensure that root cause and corrective actions are developed and implemented in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the selection and sourcing of production equipment, tooling and materials required for production and/or process improvement.
  • Coordinate with and assist Engineering to streamline product development and approval to make them production-ready.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by management and recognize that priorities can and will shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the company.
