Title Buyer/Credit Analyst

Job Information

Job Description:

  • Perform collection calls on past due accounts and record call comments and follow up.
  • Provide customers with statements and invoices as needed.
  • Internal follow up on customer account discrepancies.
  • Process credit applications and assist in determining the creditworthiness of new accounts including the use of Experian
  • Initiates purchase orders and amendments for parts, services and/or special tools; arranges for submission and inspection of sample products as required; maintains close coordination with plant engineering to ensure timely execution of product and services sourcing activities.
  • Secures and analyzes quotations, negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
  • Works closely with plant personnel and other internal staff to advance enterprise-wide sourcing programs as appropriate.
  • Consult with current and prospective suppliers to determine supply capabilities, transportation, logistics inventory control and management; negotiates prices and delivery terms with guidance of Director of Materials.
  • Coordinates the planning of VMI control parameters for the assigned products and services and control the delivery of outside services.
  • Organizes and implements with direction from Director of Materials of purchasing strategies to accomplish purchasing initiatives consistent with company guidelines.
  • Consult with suppliers to qualify them as new sources and assists in the resolution of production, quality and/or delivery problems.
  • Follow up on purchase orders, expedite late deliveries, and maintain revised delivery dates given
  • Train other employees as requested.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Director of Materials or the CFO and recognize that priorities can and will shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the company

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 4 year business or accounting degree required
  • 2-5 years of experience in Purchasing, Credit or Finance with good negotiating and relationship building skills required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • ERP Experience with Dynamic Navision is a plus.

Position Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday, possibly additional hours near month-end.

Title Production and BOM Specialist

Production & BOM Specialist

The Production and BOM Specialist is responsible for assisting in the coordination of work across company departments including Order Entry, Manufacturing Systems, Design Engineering, Application Engineering, Purchasing, Scheduling, and Production Control.

Duties:

  • Analyze part requirements and determine the appropriate tools and processes to use to develop fabrication routers/assembly order instructions.
  • Create and maintain all Bills of Material and routers within the ERP system.
  • Creating Bills of Material and routers to manufacture products.
  • Audit Bills of Material information for accuracy and completeness, specifically: BOM linkages, Routings, BOM types, BOT, etc.
  • Become proficient in setting up new options and/or create rules to support sales.
  • Assist Engineering as needed.
  • Support engineering and prototype staff during the design and prototype phase of new product development.
  • Maintain engineering documentation.
  • Maintain and implement part/product changes and new releases.
  • Create production prints in AutoCAD/Inventor.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by management and recognize that priorities can and will shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) preferred, but would consider equivalent experience or Associates degree.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Capable of using CAD software and understanding technical drawings.
  • Have basic drafting skills to review or create prints.
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and support production, engineering, maintenance, and purchasing personnel.
  • Experience with or desire to learn Bills of Material.
  • Willing to work on the manufacturing floor to gather needed information.
  • Experience in ERP systems to create, maintain and use BOMs, preferred.
  • Experience with Dynamics NAV a plus.
  • Attention to detail.

Buffalo Wire Works is looking for a full time CNC Machinist who is willing to spend up to 6 months at our Rollinsville, Colorado facility for training. After the training period is completed, the full time position will be in our Buffalo, NY facility. Housing will be provided in Rollinsville, CO.

CNC Machinist

Operates and sets up CNC machines and machining centers, as well as manual machines such as lathes, drill press, etc. to machine metal and nonmetal parts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings/ sketches to determine the proper settings and sequence of operations to produce parts to correct dimensions within tolerances.
  • Must be able to measure, mark dimensions and reference points on material or work piece for machining.
  • Select or create proper fixtures for machining; as well as selecting the correct material and tools to machine as required.
  • Accurately select and set controls of machine, such as speed, coolant and feed of part, to efficiently machine parts.
  • Must be able to input or edit machine program.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as required.
  • Verify that machined part meets all quality standards and is free of any defects.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and works in safe manner
  • Work with engineering, production personnel and others to resolve machine or production issues.
  • 2 years’ CNC machinist experience
  • Experience making tools/programs.
