In 1869, Martin Scheeler, Sr. founded the company as Scheeler & Sons. He was committed to providing customers good value through excellent products. He accomplished his goal through the superior design and excellent manufacturing of his wire cloth products. That same commitment continues today.

Scheeler and Sons began its legacy as the leader in the wire cloth industry. As the demand for a wide variety of screening products increased, Scheeler and Sons expanded the company and its product lines. In 1903, Scheeler and Sons officially became Buffalo Wire Works Company.

Known throughout the centuries as the manufacturer of screening solutions, Buffalo Wire Works continued to grow and prosper. Transitioning through five generations, Buffalo Wire Works still remains family owned. The company's rich heritage and many accomplishments continue to give strength and character to this long-standing company.
